How Far Along Are You?

Last week’s call showed us all how committed a community we have—committed to our passion, and committed to helping each other. We have mastermind groups springing up everywhere.

How are you coming along? Share your progress and your challenges.

Have you noticed from the posts that we are here for each other? To use a little imagery, like the pebble in the pond, the ripples are beginning to spread far and wide.

Cast another pebble now with ~your~ comment—

thanks, David

    Ok here it is.

    – Changed my domain name with weebly,
since I am already making sure that once
I register my business, I am able to
transfer my business name into an
    independent URL.

    – Today, my first article is posted to my
blog which I also set-up this morning
was able to integrate into my topics bar
    with Weebly.

Here are the URLs that you can visit.

My Blog is ‘up and running’, too! 🙂

I am so excited about all this.

Thank you David for your wonderful advise!

Here is what happened this morning.
I was a bit frustrated that I didn not hear back from weebly, about how to integrate their blog options into my website.
Therefore, and meanwhile I was checking options to get my word press account deleted, or to at least being able to change the e-mail that I had signed up with the night before since I didn’t know that with Word Press your user name becomes your url. Since I didn’t know that and since WP doesn’t let you delete your blog, for technical reasons, so they proclaim, I went back to see what I could possibly evoke on Weebly by myself.

There it goes … by some miracle … lol … I encounter that I can now imbed a weekbly blog in the topics bar to my weebly webpage.

I swear, I did not see this function to be working the days before….

    So here it is!

My first article on my blog! Wooohooo 🙂

Please feel free to leave your comments and questions, and I will answer back to you within reasonable time …
    Thanks so much for participating.

    … with much love,
    Yvonne

Does anyone know how to get in contact with Word Press?

When I first signed up I didn’t know that my user name would also be the name that appears on my url.

My endeavor is called I AM WORTH IT and I have a weebly website already. Now I want to use the Blog via Word Press, because Weebly somehow doesn’t answer my request how to integrate their blog onto the website that i have with them.

Since I had to leave an e-mail with Word Press when signing up for my blog, it was the one that pertains to my business endeavor.
Then I am reading that you cannot cancel a blog on Word Press, which I think is really ‘un-cool’!!!

Now, I have changed the e-mail in settings last night, and then this morning when wanting to sign up new with the domain name as my user ID, it tells me that the e-mail address that I am using is already taken, although I changed it on the ‘unwanted account’ to another e-mail so to free the one up that I really need to use, since it contains the name of my business.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CONTACT WORDPRESS?

Apparently you can surf their whole site and there is no contact information.

I don’t know if I like them, now for the same two reasons mentioned above. First, you cannot cancel your blog once approved by WordPress and secondly, they are hard to contact.

Maybe I just sign-up with the ‘Good Old Blogger’ ??? The orange icon with the the capital B!!! 😉

    Please for some help.
    Thank you.

    Yvonne.

    U P D A T E!

Just up-dated my website and added some elements.

Please feel free to come and have a look.

In case you are writing poetry, or would love to see one of your most burning questions turned into a poll you might find my site a great place to get your world out, too! 🙂

I will add another page in a little while concerning Photography, where I will ask you to participate in order to post your most meaningful images by giving your Photo a name as well.

Although my site wants to help woman who have been in bad relationships, I also mention that I want to help woman to feel better about themselves, so I chose to add some fun pages where we all can participate together TO FEEL GOOD 🙂

I am still waiting for the weebly administration to give me an answer to my question about integrating blog articles into the Topic Bar…. but that’s a technical issue.

Once this is solved you will be able to read some of my articles and have to chance to comment as well, just like here on David’s page.

    Until then,
come and have a look at

Does anyone know, if Weebly has a function where comments can be accepted to articles that I wrote?

I am starting to write my first article tonight, and once I post it to the site, I am wondering if it is offering for comments to be made and posted, too.

I had a quick overview and was browsing this topic on Weebly, but could not find any option for people to post, which would be most important when writing articles in order to receive feed-back.

It’s definitely not included in the options when creating my page lay-out!

    Thanks for your input.

    Hello David,

I was wondering, if you had an answer for me 😉

I just found out that my weburl as is on weebly.com right now http://iamworthit.weebly.com/

“IAmWorthIt” is already taken as a .com, .net etc… since I checked the domain name on whois.com

What would you recommend for me to do?

Would it be better to change my business/domain name into something else?

At this point and time I am not in the position to register anyway, but would it make sense to even keep my business name when it’s taken?

I looked up the company who bought it, but it only went to some general site which was also giving the warning of it being a male ware site.

What would be the best alternative, in your opinion?
    Thank you.

If anyone else would like to give their ‘professional advise’, please feel welcome.

Why not stay with the one that I have through weebly and keep it under their web-hosting service, until I am able to really invest money to get my individual web-page built, which won’t happen anyway until I do generate an income.

Do you know of a search engine that finds out what company names are already TR nationwide?

I wish I would have thought about these things before picking my name.

On the other hand I AM WORTH IT is a statement, and not a name.

It kinda reminds me of when Donald Trump wanted to trade mark his “You’re Fired” and it would not work out that way, since it also is a statement.

So, I am off to spend the day with my daughter outdoors. Some fresh air is always good for the mind and the heart so to come up with ‘fresh ideas’ and to feel more energized in the body!

    Hello all,
As I work through all of this myself, I am learning so much from you all! Thank you for sharing so openly.
Has anyone noticed the differences in appeal in the new websites? Do you find some more invitingly written than others?
Do find some easier to read?
There is a post below by Heather(http://ilovemyjob.weebly.com/ ) that reminded me of a writing tip I learned a billion years ago. It may be helpful to some, not all. When you get stuck, can you
“Write as if the person you are addressing is sitting/standing in front of you. Imagine having a converstaion with them. What would you say and how would you say it.”
I offer this little gem, it’s what makes David’s and Heather’s writing so appealing, and I heard something similar in different words, from Jeffrey during the teleconference call.
It’s humorous, inviting, enthusiastic, joyful, informational, factual, yet not preachy. It values and validates the other person FIRST, then offers the value you might add to them.
They ask a LOT of Questions… engaging YOU (and me).
Remember to be you, and bring that to what you put on your website, blog, etc.
This might be a good use of a buddy – and if you are not a humorous person – say that! (I lose my sense of humor sometimes when I take myself too seriously.)
I wish I could get my posts down to 118 secs…LOL.
Did anyone else notice how the words on the pages either pull you in or push you away and wonder why? Yo Ninjas! 🙂

I am on page 90. I took 2 hours thinking time to figure out what the heck I want to focus on.
My original idea was to support young mothers with their motherhood challenges. I have been doing that for few months now. While sitting with myself researching what is needed I had this big AAHHHH moment. I don’t really want to do it. I love to help moms, but this is not my passion. I am more into heping women dicover themselves again. We loose a lot of ourselves when we become moms, but the real deal is not motherhood, it’s you as a women – how to develop your own identity, learn to love who you are, create self condidence inside out. I love these topics, and this is what i want to teach. I know a lot about it. I am a pretty straight forward person, with no BS… so I am adjusting my sails to the wind, it takes me to where I need to be.

Working on a new web site, blog and content! Yoohoo.

That’s fantastic Sellgi! You just made me realise what it is that makes for successful relationships, which is what I want to help people with. Not just romantic relationships, but friendships, siblings, parents, offspring, whatever. I’m not saying all of mine are perfect, but people come to me all the time for advice in this area, and most of them come back to tell me how well it worked. But now I realise WHY the ones that do work so well, work so well. It’s because I am my own person, and the people who allow me to be that are the people with whom I’m closest. Thing is, some think that being your own person means not investing anything of yourself in the relationship, or not being willing to give as much as you take from it. But your words have made me think about that distinction. Thank you, and good luck with your fantastic project.

my book is about connecting with people. this is what i have been teaching in my diversity workshops.

    that could apply to ANYONE!!!
My question is: can i write a general book?

i’m terrified to pick a niche…honestly…because the niche i’d love to pick is teachers, but that didn’t work out so well when i started my business 5 years ago….
but that’s who inspires me (having been one myself, and feeling the incredible responsibility of educating future generations)

      Hello Gary,

just read the first article of your blog.

My heart goes out for you!
Although I am ‘quiet normal’, I am yet able to emphasize on your view.

What most struck me is what you wrote at the end of the article …

“Therefore I strongly suggest that parents, teachers and other people don’t give in to cultural mores that isolate and demean a disabled child/adult. If the community would take this attidude more and more. What they would see is not some sort of freak but a real live individual that has been endowed by their creator with gifts and for their fellow human race.”

This is your time, Gary to help us ‘normal people’ understand what it is like, so we can help in a way that seems fit and helpful to you, or anyone else according to their individual situation.

      You are right! …
Some people may lack certain abilities, yet and therefore other abilities are extremely powerful since this one may require most of the energy in order to stand-out as highly powerful!

You might like to ask someone to read the words of the following presentation to you. It’s about children in school and how our society wants to ‘force’ them into an educational frame where ‘one size fits all’, which is totally against nature itself! It truly shows that in reality nothing is really normal as it is an assumed state of ‘Must Bees’ of the ‘avarage human mind’!

      http://raisingsmallsouls.com/wp-content/themes/animal_school.swf

      Enjoy the presentation!

Keep-up the good work by informing and sharing.

My goal is to help young marrieds with simple cooking and easy housekeeping tips. I wrote a book for my 8 kids and sent it to them for Christmas a year ago. They liked it so well that I have actually re-printed it and sold it to many of their friends. I decided that perhaps there was a need out there so I hope to re-do it as an e-book and sell it online as well as in hard copy. Anyway, excited about making a difference for someone. Leah

Question about downloads – I would like to offer a free download of one of my popular images as a pdf greeting card. (One of my products that have been very successful in shops regionally ).
My concern has always been that if I do that, when someone prints it out at home, it will not look as good as an original given the variety of printers, settings, et al, that contribute or take away from an image.)

I’m getting over that – it’s a freebie, so is it appropriate to say that their print may not be accurate, and if they like any of the images to order online for better reproduction quality.

(I know a lot of people want my images, hear it all the time, I have local and and regional customers waiting in line – and my getting all the printing done to my standards here is too time consuming for cost effectiveness.)
    Suggestions, feedback appreciated.

    • Hi Betsy,

That sounds like a great download offering. I believe that most people would understand that their print quality will not be as good as can be, but you can help them out in a couple different ways…

      1. Suggest that they print it on Card Stock or Glossy Paper
      2. As you mention, offer the ability for them to have a professional copy sent to them for a fee. (perhaps just shipping on your freebie and a higher rate for your others)
      3. Add a little disclaimer – but it doesn’t have to be the focus – keep it short and simple.

To your printing dillema – do what you can to have your images printed in bulk, especially on the freebie if you start to see a lot of requests. This will help you cut down on costs as well as the time involved. There are many online alternatives to your local kinkos that offer amazing prints that are extremely affordable.

      Keep moving forward!!

        Hello Joshua,
Thank you for the feedback AND suggestions!
I currently have some things in printing online at http://www.cafepress.com/superiorshores where people can purchase some online – however the cards have “cafepress” on the back, they are expensive to buy from, and the wordt part is that their printing quality varies from order to order. (I have had items come from them with golden sand turned pink. Yucky)
Am working with another online printer, fineprintimaging to secure good color reproduction and their prices are very reasonable. If their print quality is good, I like their gallery of artists for marketing assistance and their partnerships.

I live in the boonies, and there is no kinko’s – anywhere here, in fact where I live there is no place withing 125 miles to get color printing done…. except one, which I didn’t even think of for cards – our local newspaper! So thanks for stimulating my neurons or synapses on this one! 🙂

I’ve niched it to the “home party Plan” group…anyone in tupperware, avon, arbonne, etc…on how “to get more bookings and make more sales”

my site is BRAND new…less than 2 mths…but I’ve been blogging on a different site for almost a yr!

I have set up 1SC (1shoppingcart) and love it!

Am in the process of getting my FIRST newsletter out this week! (following your tips to do that David…thanks)

If anyone wants to sign up for my ‘free home party kit’ feel free to do so…it will give you and idea of what YOU can do for your free give-away. I wanted something a little different…something that people could use to ‘self evaluate’ themselves as to where they currently are.

I have my own radio program…but am also in the process of TeleSeminars!

BTW…if you are ‘new’ and starting out…I’ve done all of this within the last year…not having ANY technical skills…and basically only knowing HOW to turn on a computer! ha ha…so if a mom of six can learn this so can YOU!

one comment about your site….i think it needs a stronger message for the woman who is looking for you…what is SHE looking for and feeling that YOU have…something short, to the point and real (and since you have experience, you will know what to write) so she knows she has come to the right place.
      less is more on websites…

      Hellen,
Nice work…. and we are kinda in the same boat on a different body of water!
You have a good product. Nice website and yet it didn’t “GRAB” me. There is something about inviting people to join you and your daugther at the beach… “Walk with us as we share and explore this incredible place where we live…”
(I also admire and may borrow the “frame-a-card” idea, since many already buy my cards and frame them. Had not thought of the idea of selling cards specifically to be framed. (I thought it might deter sales of larger images – duh!) Shift!
Suggestions: Are you on facebook? if not go there and be there, too, and add a fan page for your business is another freebie from fb.
Do you track your traffic? Are you getting visitors and are they clicking through to cards?
Can you add something personal about the feathers and what they mean to you, what kind are they, where you found them… a saying?
For me, feathers are a connection to Spirit – and in native amierican tradition it is said that “when one finds feathers, you are on a good path…”
Join me on my beach on beautiful Lake Superior… since we are all connected w/ water! http://www.flickr.com/photos/eyesee360/sets/72157603554800552/

(Ripple effect image on top here is perfect!)

Offering my support – good start, and helping me to find clarity as well, Thank you for your post!

I have started my first e-book and nearly finished the first section. I have set up a meeting with my website designer to see if I can piggyback the books with my website. I have approached other professionals in my area and asked them to write ebooks on areas that I am not a wizz at but that are essential to the whole experience being complete and meeting all the questions and answers in my chosen field. I am extremely excited and as I write I feel a relief of a sort as it all pours out of me into understandable words. I am a little apprehensive because my knowledge of the internet and how it works is limited, that is why I am bringing in a professional. I have also found books on the internet that will help with the launch. So far so good.

First successninja mastermind group call completed. Thank you David for the surprise visit! 🙂 Good group.
Almost done with the book, going back, got bogged down in exercises, links. From support group: It doesn’t have to be perfect – hard for the artist/graphic designer in me to reconcile… especially when I worked in a field where perfectionism was demanded, tweaking endless, typos tracked and scored affecting job longevity.

Screw up faster – screw up faster, more failures quicker please!

Started backwards, upsidedown before I arrived here – websites up, blog up functional… and useless for presenting work… formerly not intended to actually sell, just share and get feedback from other writers and artists -now useless, but potential for contacts.
Free offer downloadables still a questionmark… What and to whom?
Blog will be changing a lot! Defining, narrowing focussing down. Learning new tools at wordpress. Writing a lot.

I just need an irresistable offer to get people to sign up on my autoresponder, and I need to polish up the follow-up that my autoresponder provides. Then I will be ready to grow my community. I could probably use about five clones of myself (not enough time freedom), but I’m close to having everything I need to get my web business going on auto-pilot. My big weakness … I’m not a good face-to-face networker, and I need to be more aggressive about meeting other experts in my chosen niche … sustainability.

I work in the health and fitness feild so my first idea is about helping people to live with balance managing stress and lifestyle choices. the next is talking about the energetic properties of food and how it can heal, and my last idea is an ebook about helping people travel- I was a tour guide and so its an inside scoop on how to navigage independent travel in europe. I’m stuggling with whether a web site should be broad or potentially a few more specific ones, starting one at a time. I’d love ideas and input!

Ideally each concept should have its own splash or lead generating page.. its just chicken and egg stuff… lead generating and then build website or website then lead generating. This is where it get confusing for me! I trust that you are finding your way.. all input is great to stimulate the thought process!!

David, I haven’t joined the forum since my phone won’t allow conference calls – (it’s a magic jack). I downloaded your book immediately but got side tracked with a unexpected death of my goddaughter so I can’t even imagine how the caller who lost her husband (Sharon) had strength to call.

So, I have been able to process some of the shock and pain—so now ready to examine your suggestion of getting paid for what I love. I am listening to your recording from last week right now and it is a Blessing and not taken lightly with me.

First of all- YOU have been my mentor since 2006 and 2007! If you look in your old records you will see my name or email address during that time. I have saved every email you sent me because my intention was to follow in your foot steps.

I have kicked myself for letting Life overwhelm me back then and losing contact with you. I was teaching college 70 hrs a week – really wanting to be an Official Coach — but feeling inadequate to follow you online since I had no Coaching Credentials. Mind you – I’ve been coaching all my adults students since 1996 but then when I decided to do it as a full time occupation – I started doing something terribly wrong -COMPARING MYSELF TO OTHERS – that stopped me in my tracks. So since I was burnt out from teaching in 2007 – I took on a traveling job nationwide for the last 3 years as a Medical Coding Auditor. I like my work but feel have a lot more to offer as a Life Coach – just because of my own experiences of survival on this planet.
(being in a Coma, Homeless, Divorce, plane with Bombs, etc)This year I have created monthly workshops for people locally – and have several clients now – but still working as an auditor and wanting to do Coaching full time is where I am now….helping people to connect to the gold within – but would love to help globally! http://www.tothegoldwithin.com is a site the I am working with now thru yahoo small business and time doesn’t allow for much of that.

So I will be reading your book tonight and be able to join the blog/ forum as soon as possible.

Please forgive me to sending this via email but feel the need to let you know – how valuable this free info is since I was about to pay $97 for 1 month of training with another group. My husband makes beautiful pieces of jewelry and would love for him to get paid for what he loves also. http://www.mikesjewelrycorner.etsy.com.

So glad I got this far(creating our websites with no computer skills and having a couple of clients for both of us) for now but ready to elevate to the next level……..

Love that you’ve reached back to help folks like us and looking forward to this new adventure!!!

I’m an RN and I can’t get over the caregiver mindset.
I have skimmed the whole book and I am unable to scratch deeper than superficially.
I have tried before to break free of the Nursing/Caregiver role and I am paralyized! I have so many skills so many talents but I feel completely stuck in the service role 🙂

I wouldn’t know how to pull myself out of the “Can I help / heal you role”

Hugs and smiles to all of you grand people who can take the first step and leap on faith!

Why do you have to overcome being a caregiver? If you can help people online by becoming a mentor or a coach, that would help you by helping others, right?

I’ve always wanted to start an herbal store and give out natural healing advice. But where to even start. *grin* Okay so I’ve said it that’s a start. But there is so many authorities out there how will my authority prove authentic?

As for being someone’s mentor. Yes I would like to do that. Perhaps even write a book or two.
See, there you go Michael being an incredible mentor. Here I go pouring out all these ideas. But they never seem to go anywhere.
        Except in circles …
Because I am stuck with the ideas and unable to plant these seeds to fruition.

          Hi Anne,

Begin with one idea and don’t let yourself become distracted. Perhaps there is some fear at play? Find some quiet time and really connect with You. If you truly want change it will happen. Just commit to it!

Remember, also, that your voice — and your life experiences — are unique, and that will be what helps people connect to you, whether it be online or offline.

You might start by writing a few general bits of natural healing advice down, until you perhaps see a pattern emerge — a direction that you naturally veer toward. The general natural-healing market is large, but remember, there are specialty niches in everything!

I remember a quote, I can’t remember who said it: The more isolated you feel the more experience you’ve accumulated.

I started a BBS in 1987. It was called the Barefoot BBS.There was over 200 users. It was a kind of internet before the internet.
I was a sysop. I had my own phone line and people would call into my computer. (neat concept huh?)
I had a neverending Story. A game called TradeWars and people from all over the community would call in to be there. Some would like to chat or write or play. Incredible opportunity where I programmed and oversaw this virtual community.
Only I did this all for free. It never occurred to me to charge money.
This is another area of contention. I’ve been underpaid as a nurse my whole life. Where do I even begin to charge or feel good about giving out information for a price when my whole objective is to help people 🙂 Another part of the glue that binds me
Yes I can write down all my talents and wonders but getting over the block of charging people money is a very big one

Thank you, this helps me alot

One thing you have to understand about money — it flows where it’s wanted. (I know that’s sounds all new-agey and woowoo, but it honestly is truth! Do you know anything about the Law of Attraction? Search the web for it.)

Also, you have to understand another thing about people and their money. Everyone has something that is most important to them in terms of a hobby, or something they just have to have in their lives. Some people, it’s golf, some people it’s Big Boy Toys (boats, SUVs, fishing/camping stuff, etc.) and for each person, they’re likely to spend what is called “stupid money” on their passion. In other words, they spend amounts that to you and I are ‘stupid’ but it brings them happiness. I know for a fact that tons of people spend ‘stupid money’ on natural health products and information. (My mother was one of them!) The aspect of marketing that you have to learn about is targeting. You find the people that *need* what you have to tell them, and they will follow you to the ends of the Earth. It works, I know it does. You just have to trust.

      Hello Anne,

      I can understand you well.

Your “Key-Problem” is that you are ‘playing a role as a caregiver’, and that’s all that is so far.

Working in the medical field may require a certain type of detachment, since this is the reason why I have never felt any type of connection to hospitals or ‘commercial medical practice’
Although it is very helpful and the people at the emergency room are often angels for that they are saving lives because they are there instantly, I still feel un-easy concerning medication. Myself barely ever takes any, unless I’ve just been at the dentist and I must take some antibiotics to prevent and infection, or so.

This ‘pop-a-pill-society’ makes me sad, and I have always been different. I believe in what the earth delivers naturally, yet so many parts of our beautiful planets have been poised and the soil no longer is of pure quality either.

So, since Big Pharma is counterproductive to many ailments I can understand why you may not feel in alignment with your ‘care-giver-job’ for that you may be someone whom is authentic and true where on a subliminal level you feel that something ‘just isn’t right’.

Anne, you truly owe it to yourself and the world to get ‘un-stuck’, meaning to write down your talents and ‘number them’ from most important, to ‘least’ important.

Take some time to ponder, and find out for yourself how you wish to share your number one talent with all of us.

      This should be sooooo exiting!!!
Take it one step at a time.
Most important take that FIRST STEP in order to begin 🙂

      Love to you,
      Yvonne

        Yvonne:

Thank you for your wise and kind words.
I suppose my biggest problem working in the medical field is that I love and care too much.
So many people need a touch, a kind word, a shoulder and tips to make their lives a little better. In this practice I have created so many people that rely on me. Not that I could’nt be replaced only that I make a difference. My fear is born of not what I can create but what I might leave behind. Or a little of both 🙂
There is too much void in this world. Yet as I grow older, the stamina, joy are replaced with apathy and fatigue.
Yes, too much pill popping in this world. I suppose that is why I’ve embraced both medicine and herbs in my fight to find balance for people.
For the last 25 years I advocated for probiotics to be taken with antibiotics or even after a mild illness. (only in the last 10 years are people more aware) Something simple as good bacteria puts your body back in balance. Hydrogenated oils I would write letters that would fall on deaf ears to the powers that be, companies anyone who would listen. To Ban this toxic substance. MSG. How it will hurt babies in utero and so on and so on.
The number one rule of any caregiver is Care for yourself first. I recognise my fears and I realise where my talents lie.
What I need is more time… to be ready … to know if this is the right road to follow.
It is one thing to be stuck and not be aware. It is powerful to know you are stuck and just wait. For the more you struggle, the faster you sink.
The less you move the easier it is to loosen yourself.
A see a path clear to freedom.

What a good feeling to be free.
It would be great too if we had less government in our lives (couldn’t resist a political statement) *grin*

        Bless you Yvonne
I know you will find your way!

There may be illnesses that must be treated via the common medi-care, if just to tame its effect of what caused it, to strengthen a person by feeling painless for a while, so then he, or she is able to gather and focus ones strength on healing from within.

There is much information about Homeopathy on the Internet, too.

The FDA and Big Pharma don’t like this much, because selling lab-produced chemicals generates money for them.
Doctors are taught to prescribe from their pallet of offering, only … Sad but true! I am sure you are aware of this, since you are working in the field.

It is hard to replace these medications, if one has no understanding of with what to replace it.

Anne and Yvonne: Your advice and encouragement for each other is wonderful! I can relate to all that is said because I have also been a caregiver most of my life. I’ve worked with handicapped children as LPN and EL/Special Ed teacher. I’ve worked with elderly people and disabled adults as well as stressed out working men and women as Licensed Massage Therapist, and as home support provider through a Home Health Care agency. It is difficult for me to narrown down my passion to a specific niche. I am passionate about animals, especially cats. Since there are so many websites and niches in education and health, and I have not done any specific paying jobs (except for a little pet/house-sitting), I’m not sure how to be different and creative, or what type of website/page/newsletter to focus on. I am good, also, at encouraging others to de-stress, to develop inner freedom.
I hope you are successful and enjoy being all that you can be!
          Take care!

Just finished reading David’s book in its entirety this afternoon.

Will google some of the web-pages that David suggested in his book in order to get a good overview of how all of it will look as a finished webpage or blog.

I will go and check-out some templates, too since I already know with what colors I wish to work with and how the ‘feel’ should be for my endeavor.

My elevator pitch is “I want to help woman who have been in bad relationships to feel better about themselves”

This is my heart’s desire, since I have found some wonderful tools which where helping me in order to overcome and to see what is really going on in my relationship.

I was able to let go emotionally immediately, although the financial aspect right now is really the worst I could have ever imagined. But, my daughter and I are safe so far.

So, if anyone wishes to suggest a product for my endeavor, which is in alignment with the purpose, please feel free to post your ideas.

    It is very much appreciated.
Thanks so much guys, in advance.

Hello Yvonne – your story is much like mine!! I found that a perfect tool to use to help who have been in bad relationships to feel better about themselves is Mary Kay! Just having the one facial, plus a slight bit of make-up can brighten one up, and definitely help with the self esteem. Mary Kay is all about women helping women to become all that they can. Barbara,

thank you for wishing to promote ‘Well-ness’ via a Make-over.

To tell you the truth, what most woman went through isn’t to rekindle or to heal with make-up …

The worst thing one can do is to hide behind make-up, so to speak since it is counterproductive…

It is about soul-search, which is formless, shapeless and ‘body-less’, if you may understand what I am getting at.

A wellness type make-over should be the result of already feeling good inside and then we may feel in the mood to display this on the outside.

Also, most woman that just have been really taken advantage of by their men are often in such a financial situation that they rather put food on the table then spend it for make-up, or at a spa.

I know you mean well, yet it may not work that way.

Shopping isn’t going to help. It satisfies the short term illusion of ‘feeling like someone’, but leaves a greater emptiness behind when finding out that after having had a few good moments, the same old problem still pertains.

Woman in a situation like this need more than a ‘band-aid’. Healing starts from within, through self-empowerment and tender loving care for one’s Being-ness.

        Question:
What do you think is more important?

        TO HAVE or

        TO BE

I leave this question open for everyone to participate.

        Enjoy!

… and wishing a wonderfully peaceful night to everyone …
        Yvonne

          Hi,

I am touched by what you are doing.
I have been working with Barbara De Angelis for few years now, and her work is very powerful. She is all about healing from the inside out.
She has a great book about Confidence, also – How did I get here which is a lot about what you are working on.
I have learend a lot from her and think you can use her info too.
She might have a product to offer as a free download, I am not sure but you can check her web site.

Ops, just thought about it – maybe you can write a short ebook, or 10 important lesson you learned that can help them t he process of looking inside.
Another great book is – You can heal your life, by Luis Hay (I think I got the spelling right But I am not sure )

Also, I would love to talk to you more about what you do, we might be able to work together.
I am working of helping moms make a healthy happy mom, so they can take care of their kids.

If you are interested, please let me know. I am not sure how the system here works with emails… I don’t have yours.

            Relli,

I am about to write this e-book that you have suggested.

I know it takes time, and this is just what I find a bit challenging at this point according to my personal situation.

I am starting from scratch, although much has been on my mind for the past years.

Since reading David’s book I feel much closer to get ‘my mission’ 🙂 accomplished.
I am going to start with my own blog where I will place articles.

It can be a great idea to work with an affiliate product concerning Beauty Products for “Wellness”. Yet, it must be something in addition to an already accomplished site, but it must be ‘secondary’.
When starting a new site I’d prefer to focus on the healing part, and if someone has overcome their emotional challenges, feels integrated within oneself and whole again displaying that outwardly will follow for ‘all the right reasons’ as it will feel natural rather than ‘made up to cover-up’.

I will check-out Barbar’s Site. I am sure it is easy to google her site, too 😉 I believe I have heard her name before. It rings a bell with me. 🙂

I have heard of Luise Hay as well. There are many great woman around. I love their dedication!

Thank you very much for your in-put. It is always helpful to hear someone else’s opinion.

Please post your website here, so I can contact you. Thanks.

            Sincerely,
            Yvonne

You might be able to start it as a blog and when you generated enough recipes you may be able to get it published as a book.

The Title of the Book could include the word “LifeStyle” kinda like, “Cooking With Style”, or “Life Style and Cooking easily combined”, or “Cook Your Life With Style” … lol … just kidding … smiles …

      Much success to you,

        I have the same challenge.
I am a floral designer and a life cocah.
I want to find a way to put them both together and I created the title – Spiritual floral Designer.
Now the challenge is – how the heck I am putting it together as a market, product etc.

        Any ideas?

Maybe we can be freedom buddies and figure it out together.

            Spiritual Flowers, sounds wonderful!

Most of all the name is very authentic, because there is a lot of spirit in flowers. Look how light and delicate they are, and they evoke so much when spending time with them.

Well, that’s my personal opinion, yet I know I am not alone with this feeling 🙂

I am pretty good in understanding what the technical steps, but I am stuck with explaining what I do, and who is my audience.

I am debating between helping moms take care of themselves (I know a lot and love this topic, already do weekly coaching calls for moms), or to go with my art.

The best would be to combine.

      Hey Jesse

the market is not what leads you. Your passion is what leads the market. If you try to find in the market what will make you succeed than your idea will loose its unique character.

Even if there are others doing something similar of what you are passionate about, it will differ because it is you doing it.

When I was taking photojournalist class, down in Brazil, I was passionate for the way I saw things. But after 3 days, the teacher said, your work is a piece of junk. And I was like, wow. I told him that I couldn’t figure out another project, specially 3 days into the class, I said, all I think about It is already done. He then said. “No it is not until YOU have done it”. Man, next day I when there and my photos simply transformed and my teacher was in awe.
      And I was too.

You are unique and there is something inside of you that will stand out.

      Much Love.

A little depressing being so unfocused and without a rudder. Signed up for a Buddy as well, but there again if I am so befuddled won’t that scare others away from helping me find clarity? Want to really be a blessing to others when I realize just Who I AM!

Hello everyone, I have read the book purchased my domain name, written what I will place on my web site, decided what my product will be. Have been tossing around an affiliate or two, but I lack the technology information to pull this all together. I used to work on a site already done and gave them 30% and decided that is not a gift I want to give because I can do this myself with help. That is where I am and I am willing to go the whole way for the first time since 2000 when I started with the idea, just stayed small word of mouth. Now, it is time for me to lean forward and rely on myself for income. I have always broke and ran to a job offer that was limiting and clausterphobic and I want to be free. So, I will go the whole way to make this work for me before I even consider taking another position. I would like to add employment to our community not take the last one knowing this is my purpose.

      A couple of question.
Why do we need to send to you a hard copy? have you thought about sharing a dropbox with the writer so he can drop the text there? You could offer it as an advantage, so the document would be read ahead of the ones mailed to you and you can disconnect the dropbox at anytime. So that would give the writer a sense of preference.

Another thing is. I don’t know about you, but I love twitter. It can be a little bit overwhelming but you will learn how to use it to bring traffic to you site and period. If you put a twitter plugin I will follow you immediately and I will retweet your posts in a heart bit. We are freedom-buddies. If you want I can help you setting up the plugin.

you can reach me at celia_dias[AT]yahoo.com or go to

I am so proud of you.

PS.: I loved your photo. And I love writing, but I am not that good in English
yet for a book. Even though I am gonna write one.

      Much Love

        Thank you, Celia!

I have clients send hard copy so that I don’t have to read hundreds of pages online, or print it all off myself. Also, I prefer to mark up hard copy rather than do the editorial markings online. It’s that simple. I usually have a turnaround time of a week, and honestly, when an author uses priority mail or next day delivery, that’s fast.

I take manuscripts in the order that they arrive, and are paid. Again, that can be as soon as the day after we talk. So the author who follows up promptly keeps his or her place in the queue, no question.

I hear you about Twitter. My goal for NEXT Sunday is to have my FB and Twitter ramped up!

        Hold me to it!

I have no problems with websites and techie stuff, as I am starting out as an affiliate marketer and therefore know what is necessary.

But I really don’t know what personal product I might create… I’m only 18 years old and I don’t really have much more than a broad idea of: “Maybe personal development would be a good field, because I have read some stuff about that already.”

      Hi Sebastian,
I am weak on techie stuff, and last night was thinking of an affiliate are you doing non-profit? I do have years of experience writing, working with clients mostly relationships, divorce, or Career Coaching. I also work with kids or young adults such as yourself who are moving forward in their career choices as well as some pretty crazy relationship stuff. Feel free to contact me and perhaps we could compliment each others weakness.

STUCK!!!! Can’t come up with an idea of what I want to do. Stopped reading in the book because I need my idea to proceed any further. Stopped opening emails because it’s too overwhelming without my idea or plan. Have some vague ideas but nothing concrete. Still pondering it but nothing’s happening!!!

Hey Nancy, just wanted to offer a quick thought on this. As I noted in my comment, if I were to summarize the path to success in three steps it’d be: 1-get motivated, 2-find your passion/purpose, 3-get the tools. If you try to do step 3 before steps 1 and 2, or step 1 but then don’t follow through with 2 and 3, you’ll get frustrated and tempted to give up. My suggestion: take a step back and spend some time on steps 1 and 2. All this info for step 3 will still be here when you get back. “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield is a great starting place for steps 1 and 2.

      Hey Nancy

Do not stop. Even if you don’t come up with an idea with this project it is OK. I have been reading, listening to books,( I put them under my pillow),and for 2 years I have been preparing myself for I have been learning how to think different, how to act different when I am challenged. IT IS OK to feel stuck. But just DO NOT STOP. It will come, even if it is not that perfect idea but if it is the closest you can get to you passion,(don’t forget it is all about your passion) is a beginning.

When you feel overwhelmed take a break, a day to just “step aside” but DO NOT STOP

      Much Love

Celia, thanks so much for the encouragement! I know the idea will come in time. I just get freaked out with all the action going on with everyone else and I know that doesn’t help me. It gets me too overwhelmed. So, I’m going to just keep pondering and not be distracted. I am on the right path for me and you just helped me to realize that!

      Hi Nancy,
I’m there as well. I stopped with the book on page 20 because I’m still trying to figure out my dream. So I keep thinking lately what it is that I DO that I can loose myself completely in it, forget about the time..
Any ideas coming up for you?
      Wish you all the best!

It’s so good to hear someone else is in the same place! Your question is interesting….I do really love my work ( I am a psychotherapist ) and I want to keep working but I recently started blogging and would like to do some writing. i feel like I have a lot of passion for that too but again, I am so unfocused. Nothing is “grabbing me” so to speak. I’ve thrown around a couple ideas but don’t go too far with them because once I think them through a little more, I realize it’s not something that excites me that much!
How about you? What excites you -are you gaining any more clarity? Would love to stay in touch Dejana! Good luck to you as well!

  88. I am building my site now (moving it from my home server to a commercial one) – being UK based the website advise didn’t quite fit but it certainly helped.

It woudl be great if the teleconf was put up as an MP3 – it was too late in the day for me. If we could get a copy to listen to at our own pace it woudl be great.

David, thank you so much! I’ve been on quite a journey over the last year and as I look back I’d summarize my journey to my (soon to come) success in three steps. Get motivated, find your purpose, get the tools you need to execute. You are one of a couple of folks I have to thank the most on step 3 which I feel I have just recently attainted. Last week, prompted by another one of your messages I made myself another cup of coffee and read the book all the way, made notes ~ and more importantly, made a plan!

Created my first give-away product. Really got going on the product I had plans to release anyway, but that got stuck somewhere down the line…

There are still some things I need to figure out ~ web forms, newsletter templates and such. But I am confident I will make it happen!!

I guess the most important realization I have made so far is that it is great to help other people ~ but there is nothing wrong getting paid for your efforts.

And the other thing is that it is totally okay to do it on your own terms!

Thank you David! Your book came at exactly the right time in my life!!

    • If you need webforms and list building stuff, I recommend aweber. It’s easy as pie to setup, very cheap, and very effective. They have all you need to setup multiple forms and integrate them onto your website in a heartbeat.

Weebly is hard to beat as far a site building goes and David recommends it too, so you know it’s good.

      Hope that helps.

My progress so far is that I have a website – http://www.transformforlife.vpweb.com.

I have “inherited” a nonprofit with a very stable program that is right up my ally – just no money to pay myself more than reimbursement for expenses at the moment.

Am telling everyone what I want to do and had one person tell me she is on the board of 5 chambers of commerce and will help me do presenations and raise funds.

Contracted with the county to do some freelance training which will raise my training rate from $30-50 to $200 per hour. Yay!!

Completed Marcia Weider’s 90 Days to Transform Your Life course on a scholarship and assisted teaching the pilot program for her new Teen Dream Coaching Program.

I am participating in Bob Proctor’s new Six Minutes to Success Program. I love it because like Marica’s program, it helps me focus, focus, focus.

I am in talks with another therapist/life coach to start up a mastermind group for his niche.

I need two things – CASH and help with all the internet stuff. I want to set up a forum, I need to generate traffic, I need to build a list, figure out how to place button links, etc. I know about article writing to generate traffic – I write for several ezines, however right now I don’t have time to write. I need to figure out squeeze pages so I can put up my ebook when that’s done.

(Now just make sure I don’t get stuck at some place again… Like I did with my other projects… 🙁 )

    Hello Celia,

    …. you are not alone … 🙂

I assume that David just published this new ‘response page’ … so we are one of the first ones to comment.

I just finished GET PAID FOR WHO YOU ARE in its entirety.

WOW! So much information …. Thank you David for sharing all the very significant details.

Personally, I have heard of almost all the concepts and many of the web-sites that you have posted concerning ‘getting help’ do ‘ring a bell’ with me 😉

I truly feel that getting together via a weekly Tele-Seminar is most helpful where we can work through the book Chapter by Chapter. This way it helps to share individual experiences ‘while doing’/acting upon creating each person’s website or blog.

I will stay tuned, in order to catch the next Phone Conference.

Thanks a bunch for all your help!

    Yvonne.
