Many people get a little lost when they contemplate sharing their gifts with the world and charging for them.

I mean – we’d all love to make money from our own business, but where do you start? WHAT do you charge for?

What are your strengths and skills?

What’s your niche?

What problem will you solve for people?

Very powerful worksheet, or should I say fun-sheet!
Went through a similar process recently and obtained basis for some life and career changing decisions.
I will share your sheet with friends as it is easier by far to use and to get clarity.
    Thanks David
    Kind regards
    Andy

Thanks David, you get back what you give out and I’m sure you’re getting back heaps for this much appreciated gem. It’s wonderful that there are people like you giving and helping others. Great stuff. At 60ish we still have at least another 30 years to be applying this. Much thanks

  3. David,
Thanks for this terrific worksheet! It’s a great tool that leads me from the known to the unknown and back again!

Starting all over: It’s a very unexpected dynamic happening in our society with us baby boomers (I’m 59, not like all those ‘old’ 60-somethings! (-; ) where thousands in my generation are having to reinvent themselves; some having to find themselves!

This tool is a simple and effective way to help get that process focused. You are helping an entire generation, David!

Just imagine if all the experience and energy in this generation could be harnessed and focused we could so fix this world!

    Thanks for this great gift!

  4. David, can you help me? I’ve supposedly downloaded the free gift chart twice. it was supposed to go into my folder called ‘Downloads” where everything else i download goes. But I don’t find it. the second time I went in I only wanted to find the name of it to put a search in my PC to find it, but no name on the document and it seemed to dnld the second time. It’s a PDF document, right? They’re pretty easy to recognise.
Anything that help, I’d appreciate it. Thanks. Jerry

    Hi David,

Thank you so much. I especially like the chart on the last page. Makes it all very visual. 🙂

I live in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. I wish somebody would do this in French. There is so little of the good internet information that has been translated to French.

Hey, maybe you and I could start. What do you think?

Have a great day and blessed be.

It took me a few minutes to get it, but when I did, I smiled at how the work sheets innocently lead me to problems I want to solve. I’m already doing the stuff I want to be doing – just on a small scale. Now I need to attract more of the good experiences and avoid the opposite.
    Thank you.

    • Peggy says:

You could do some free article marketing to attract clients.
There is some great information out there for sale and for free to learn how to do these articles.
You would use keywords to optimize your articles and bring you some Google page ranks (and maybe some backlinks from other websites).
This would require that you learn how to do keyword research as well.
It would be well worth your time to invest in yourself and do the research.
Using the right keywords in your articles and in your article titles is the key to finding the type of prospects that you would want to attract. Hope that you have found this information helpful!
      To your success!

        Hi, Lisa,

I’d love to exchange ideas with you. I lost my younger adult son in 2003, but I can’t imagine how hard it must have been to lose a young child. I suspect you got more concern from your doctors than I did, but I’m interested in how you got referrals from your doctors. I don’t do facebook (just linked in), but you’re free to email me at spiralingupcoaching@gmail.com

Charlotte, Its called marketing – thats what you need to do. Your prospective clients are “out there”, you need to be where they are to communicate with them. Church mags are a cheap and chearful way to advertise your services and get free editorial. Speak to your doctors surgery about referrals, get out and do some business network meetings, give out as many cards as you can to interested people. Get yourself a Free google website. Ask your friends and family to refer you on, give them your cards. Speak to HR services in your local companies as their staff may need your services. There’s literally 100’s of ways to advertise your business, low cost if necessary. Go for it, and most of all, believe in yourself more. Stay positive and do visualizations of yourself being successful. Go on the net and do some research on how to gain customers! Meantime, Charlotte, lots of love to you and all good wishes for your future success.

I am not sure what set of life experiences to draw from in order to fill out the first form. Can you elucidate a little and/or provide some context?

For example, are these experiences from the workplace or when I was backpacking? My minute-by-minute experiences with the everyday normal tasks can even be profound sometimes but I don’t think that is what would make a meaningful chart in step 4.

Thank you, this is just the tool that I needed to really understand who I would like to help!

Although I still do several things:
    – helping teenagers improve their grades in English and German

    – helping adults who never really managed to learn English or German to grasp and master these languages (and by extension other languages)

This makes me a language coach where until now I have been a simple teacher.

May sound rather uninteresting, but I live in France and there is a considerable language learning market (until now dominated by fat cats making more or less empty promises)
